DDS, MAGD
After almost 10 years of being away from home I am excited to be back! My wife and four children have literally been all over the world since leaving Rexburg. While serving in the Army we’ve been fortunate to live in Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Germany. Being in Europe has been an amazing experience traveling to different countries and experiencing so many unique cultures. It was the opportunity of a lifetime. Even after all this, there’s no place we love more than Idaho!
Our family’s hobbies include traveling, camping, and hiking. I love taking my wife out on weekend dates, and really enjoy being a couch potato at night when the kids are all tucked in. It’s so much fun to find a new TV series! With my spare time you will find me building and flying remote control airplanes, helicopters, waterskiing, and playing racquetball. I often find myself counting down the days until football season! I love watching my favorite teams, the Packers, BYU, and Boise State.
On July 22, 2023, both Dr. Sessions and Dr. Larsen received the prestigious Fellowship Award (FAGD) from the Academy of General Dentistry — an achievement earned by less than 4% of dentists nationwide. This recognition represents hundreds of hours of advanced continuing education in a wide range of dental disciplines, as well as the successful completion of a rigorous 250-question, four-hour exam. It’s not something easily achieved — and not every dentist who tries will pass.
Even more rare, Dr. Sessions earned the Mastership Award (MAGD) in 2024 — a distinction held by fewer than 2% of dentists across the U.S. and just three actively practicing dentists in the entire state of Idaho. He will officially walk for this honor in July 2025.
Out of approximately 900 dentists practicing in Idaho, only 33 hold the FAGD — and in Rexburg, Dr. Sessions and Dr. Larsen are the only two with this credential. Dr. Larsen is also actively working toward his MAGD.
These awards are more than just titles. They demonstrate a deep commitment to lifelong learning and clinical excellence — ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality care backed by the latest research and techniques.

When I was young I got in a snowmobile accident and had 4 of my front teeth knocked out. That traumatic event led to spending a fair amount of time as a patient in the dental chair. I saw how much fun it could be and wanted to be apart of it. I am passionate about dentistry and have become a true dental nerd! I love learning about the latest advances in dentistry. There’s so much amazing technology that we can incorporate into making your smile the best possible. I have lectured and taught other dentists how to combine the technology of 3D printers and x-rays in order to precisely place dental implants. I look forward to seeing you in our office!
